How to Prepare
hot rose bud tea
- Measure the Rose Buds: Use 1-2 teaspoons of dried rose buds per cup of tea.
- Boil Water: Heat water to just below boiling, about 190-200°F (88-93°C). Avoid boiling water, as it can damage the delicate flavors of the rosebuds.
- Rinse the Rose Buds: Pour a small amount of hot water over the rose buds, wait 30 seconds, and discard the first rinse to remove any impurities and awaken the buds.
- Steep the Rose Buds: Pour the hot water over the rinsed rose buds and let steep for 3-5 minutes, adjusting to your preferred strength.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the tea or leave the buds in the cup for a beautiful visual touch.
- Optional Enhancements: Add honey or a slice of lemon to enhance the flavor.
