How to Prepare
hot/cold Chrysanthemum tea
- Measure the Flowers: Use 2-3 teaspoons of dried chrysanthemum flowers per cup of tea.
- Heat the Water: Bring fresh water to a boil, then let it cool slightly to about 90-95°C (194-203°F).
- Rinse: Pour a small amount of hot water over the flowers, wait 30 seconds, and discard the first rinse to remove impurities and awaken the flavor.
- Steep: Pour the hot water over the rinsed flowers and let steep for 3-5 minutes.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the tea if desired, or enjoy with the flowers floating for a natural aesthetic.
- Optional Enhancements: Add honey or a slice of lemon for added sweetness and flavor. Add ice to enjoy the fresh of calm.
